Gator

Male – Black and White Shorthair – Tattoo in ear …. Birthday March 22, 2012

Gator the gentle giant as we thought of him when he first arrived at ICAN.

Gator may be a big boy but also has huge capacity to love his humans. He is 8 years young, still enjoys playing and being active.

His special food diet is working and he is losing weight which has him looking and feeling much better each day. Gator loves attention and follows his foster parents around the house while they go about their day.

Gator is very vocal and a loud singer especially when he wants to be fed. He likes to lay on his foster parent’s lap in the evenings and sometimes sleeps wtih them – he does so on  his own terms – if and when he feels like it.

He is well trained on a leash and loves to go for hour long walks outside. There is water running through their property and if you throw pine cones or sticks in the water he will chase them and slaps the water trying to catch them.
He is an excellent mouser, and even caught a couple of small snakes.

Note: he is afraid of dogs. While at ICAN he was fine with other kitties.
